  First time my dad has talked to me in over a year

  since the "new light" on shunning everyone who doesn't go to the kingdom hall anymore, my father called me on the phone.

  he talked to me about three minuets reminding me that the memorial is on the 26th and he would like me to go.

  i haven't been to a memorial in over 13 years.

  I talked to my mother this morning...she didn't even mention the memorial. OK! She wouldn't dare to do it. I think.

  in 2 years im surprising my wife for our 20th with a 2nd marriage in italy.

  weve been planning to go for the last few years so she knows about the trip.

  i decided that since im going to be in italy for a month and since i sit at a desk on my computer for 8 hours a day, i might as well spend that time productively and learn some italian.

  When I left the Borg I took lessons in singing! Whithin a year I became church singer in a cathedral and some 10 years later I was at the opera stage for the first time! You have to do something with your dreams. Don't postpone.

  It reminds of the epicureeans that Paul mentionen in one of his letters. Probably those were the most wise people mentioned in the new testament! Do you remeber Paus writing something like "Let's eat and drink...tomorrow we could be dead""?

  good day everyone....its been approximately one year since ive been on jwn, not as active as i want to, i guess i will be as time goes on.. its been an interesting year since been fully awaken about the lies behind the borg...thanks to this site, along with the many well put together blogs from cedars, marvin, jwfacts, randy & others, life has been much better for me.

  I lost my wallet some weeks ago. A young girl with piercings and tatooes took care of it! I am sure she is not a JW, just a normal and good-hearted young lady!

  OK, I see...I hope you understand that raising difficult questions can cause severe problems for them. They will probably be asked if they read apostate material, or if they have contacts with apostates.

  If they would pose these questions to an elder they most probably will not get detailed facts.

  There was a knock at the door....

  or more like a thunking sound really, which set our little dog into a fit of barking.

  i crawled out from behind the fridge where i was doing a repair on the waterline for the icemaker, so i could go see what all the commotion was about.

  i fugured it was going to be my neighbor returning my ladder but instead it was jw's handing out memorial invites.. the woman and the young man (her 20 something son) were people i had known but hadn't seen since we faded 4+ years ago.

  WTF?? Has everything changed in the organisations and teachings since 2009??? The old truths are gone??Or, was it just a bit of theocratical warfare?
